Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show with the same title; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. A native of California, Swanson was interested in acting as a young girl. She began her acting career with a number of commercials. In one episode, she appeared on the sitcom of NBC, It's Your Move, in 1984. The actress made her debut on the big screen two years laterin the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Her most famous feature is the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she uses. Since then Swan has been performing in the role of secondary characters.
