Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci when she was just six years old. She took part at the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She won in 1970. In her 1972 first international event in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she won crowned all-around Junior Champion. In 1975 she was awarded 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is an unmounting from uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in the entertainment industry during her teenage years, when she performed as the figure skating duo of their sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business as a teenager. Early on she was a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades was a show that featured skaters ice skating performed by actors.
